NOEL NIGHT HOURS: 5:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.

MSU's Community Music School-Detroit will host a free Holiday Music Showcase with hourly performances by faculty, student ensembles, student soloists, and guest artists.

Featuring hourly giveaways! Raffle tickets will be handed out at the beginning of every hour, with raffle drawings at 5:45 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:45 pm, and 9:45 pm.

5:00 pm - Youth Student Showcase: Youth students from our Saturday group music classes and private lessons share short 5-15 minute performances.

6:00 pm - Adult Student Showcase: Adult students from our weekly group music classes and private lessons share short 5-15 minute performances.

7:00 pm - Youth Jazz Jam Session: Presented by Music Hall's Jazz Jam Educational Workshops, performers 18 and under can share the stage with Scott Gwinnel and his professional rhythm section to play jazz standards selected by the participants. This event is open to all young musicians!

8:00 pm - Adult Jazz Jam Session: Presented by Music Hall's Jazz Jam Educational Workshops, performers 18+ can share the stage with Scott Gwinnel and his professional rhythm section to play jazz standards selected by the participants. This event is open to all musiciansl

9:00 pm - Jazz Faculty Showcase: Featuring guest artist Kris Johnson, join CMS-D Jazz Faculty and various guests for an hour of music.

An incubator for artistic excellence, MSU's Community Music School-Detroit cultivates a diverse and connected community by providing opportunities for lifelong education, college and/or career readiness, mentorship, and belonging. Students ages 0-100 engage weekly in high-quality and accessible sequential music education through early childhood music, music therapy, group and private lessons, youth ensembles, adult ensembles, and music production classes.
