6:45 pm & 8:00 pm: Urban Tropical feat. Alina Morr in the Hannan Garden Heated Canopy (two performances)

Urban Tropical plays classic salsa, son montuno, mambo, and cha cha cha, reflecting the group’s deep roots in Latino American music.

Individually and collectively, group members have a wealth of experience as recording artists and performers, having played major festivals, concerts, dances, and night clubs nationally and internationally. They are currently doing a monthly residency at the prestigious Blue Llama Club in Ann Arbor.

Influenced as well by the musical energy of their hometown, Detroit, they add an urban edge to the mix, with the inclusion of funky dance numbers in the style of James Brown, Tower of Power, and the funkier side of Poncho Sanchez.
